Grav-StuG, a plastic model kit, will be coming to Kickstarter January 2019!
Dreamforge will be kickstarting several new kits in the coming year. Each new product offering will be very focused, a single product, its actual production costs and any profits expected will need to be folded into the overall funding goal. This is a strong departure from the retail model, where revenues are gained over time and the investment/debt is front loaded. Gamechefs Backed!
Panzer Strike: Western Front is an engaging dynamic tank wargame which connects movement point allowance system with easy calculation of the outcome of a shot which together provide almost a computer game feeling to it.
No pesky infantry, just metal on metal, mano a mano! If you ever wondered what would happen if you just stormed a town Kelly’s heroes’ style, this is definitely a game for you! This is a first game in the series of Panzer Strike games which is centered around a theme of tank battles on the Western Front. This is not a depiction of any particular battle, but a simulation of possible tactical conflicts between the Allied and German forces during the 1944-45 period, in an urban environment. During the war, tanks almost always acted together with other military branches and types of units - infantry, artillery, aviation, etc. In this game, alongside tanks, there is self-propelled artillery, while the infantry is present in the form of armored half-trackers and has specific tasks depending on the scenario: to take control of a city square, demine a building, release prisoners etc. However, the main role is reserved for tanks and tank destroyers, and players act as commanders of an armoured formation. Commanding a tank company of about 15 tanks, you are going head to head against your opponent through the narrow or wide streets of a town. But watch your back! Even a mighty Tiger is vulnerable from that side. Dice are a part of this game but strategy and positioning can always mitigate unlucky rolls. Still, even the most heavily armoured tank on the battlefield can be incapacitated by a lucky shot, but you should never rely on it. The outcome of each encounter depends predominantly on the tactical decisions taken. ![]() After months of testing behind closed doors and in hidden forums, we’re finally ready to reveal everything that makes Malifaux Third Edition awesome. But nothing is final until we hit print, so we want to hear everyone’s feedback about M3E before we’re ready to officially launch. Help us shape the game you love by playing and participating in the Open Beta! To access the Open Beta, you’ll need to first make a forum account. Once you’ve taken care of that, head over to the “M3E OPEN BETA” forum. That’s where you’ll find all of the files for the rules and every model in M3E. To make sure that your opinions are heard, please discuss your excitement (and concerns, of course) with the rest of the community in those forums. We’ll have more information and instructions in those forums, such as where to include Battle Reports and specific types of feedback. Throughout the playtest, we’ll be creating a series of polls to see where the whole community stands on certain subjects, so keep an eye out for those, as well. Remember: our focus with the Open Beta is to fine-tune, tweak, and balance. We won't be making any sweeping changes that are not absolutely needed. But for now, make your way to the forums, download the files, build your Crews, and most importantly, play some games! We’ll see you there!
By now, you've probably heard the news (or perhaps your teenager told you?): Gaming giant Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVI) is splitting up with one of its most popular game producers, Bungie.
In a terse statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday, Activision reported that, henceforth, Bungie will "assume full publishing rights and responsibilities for the Destiny franchise," once one of the most popular video games on the market. "Going forward," said Activision, "Bungie will own and develop the franchise." Investors clearly didn't like the news, with Activision stock falling as much as 13% in Friday morning trading and no fewer than six separate analysts cutting their price targets on Activision stock in response. Check out the trailer below. The Punisher season 2—which also stars Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Floriana Lima, and Giorgia Whigham—hits Netflix on January 18. |
